Judging a seller from the shop panel

The agent does not vet shops. The shop panel on the product page is the only pre-purchase signal you get, and four parts of it are worth reading.

How to judge a seller from the shop score

The right-hand panel on the product page carries an overall shop score split into description, service and logistics. On the archived frame it reads 4.9 overall, with description 4.8, service 4.9 and logistics 4.9.

The split matters more than the headline. A high overall with a weak description score is a shop whose photographs flatter the goods, which is precisely the failure the free inspection does not catch, because colour difference is outside its scope.

Stock

Inventory is a seller signal, not a reservation

Inventory : on the archived frame reads 200. It is the shop's number, refreshed by the shop, and nothing reserves any of it for you until the operator has actually purchased.

A listing showing one or two units left for weeks is usually a shop that does not update stock rather than a bargain about to vanish.

Wording

Variant naming tells you how careful a shop is

Compare two listings in the same category. One names its swatches by colour, the other by model number such as 1588, 1688 and 1788. One writes sizes as numbers, the other as phrases like 37 Feet Thin Feet Small Pat.

Neither is wrong, but the second kind demands a message to the seller and a careful size choice, and it raises the odds of an inspection that passes while the parcel still disappoints.

Contact

The message box is the only pre-purchase channel

There is no chat with the shop from the agent's interface. Leave a Message is the whole channel, it travels with the order, and it reappears on the order card as Product Notes.

Write one instruction. The common useful ones are about packaging, about which variant to send when the swatch names are ambiguous, and about not including a box when box damage would cost more in volumetric weight than the box is worth.

Timing

Where a slow shop costs you a window

Taobao and 1688 sellers ship within 3 to 7 days, then 1 to 2 working days from the Pearl River Delta, 3 to 5 from the Yangtze River Delta, about 7 from remote provinces to reach the warehouse, per help article 10034 read 2026-10-10. A shop at the slow end of both can use two weeks of a sixty-day storage window before the item is even inspected.

If you are building one parcel from several shops, order the slowest-looking shop first. The storage counters run per item, not per parcel.

When all six fields are set, the next screen is the operator's. Registration asks for an email address, a username and a password.
